Tickets are valid for the day of purchase for a particular zone of travel. Passengers must enter the paid area within 45 minutes of purchase. Lost tokens are not replaced.
Passengers can buy tickets online using the Kolkata Metro Railway app. The app provides a Quick Response (QR) code that can be used at the metro gate.
Passengers can recharge their Metro Card at the DMRC website, Paytm, or PhonePe. Recharging a Metro Card provides a 10% discount on all journeys, plus an extra 10% during off-peak hours.
